Meet Ian Holbrook, LPA
Ian is a mental wellness therapist at Aptiva Health and is licensed as a Psychological Associate in Kentucky.
Through student practicum at UofL, Ian developed a person-centered approach to psychotherapy while providing outpatient services for individuals, couples, and families.
Since graduating from UofL with a M. Ed. in Counseling Psychology, Ian has provided mental health services in psychiatric hospitals and prisons.
At Aptiva Health, Ian works primarily with adults or adolescents seeking treatment for anxiety, depressive and post-traumatic stress disorders. He also has experience treating schizophrenia spectrum and personality disorders.
Ian holds a holistic view of psychology, considering social determinants of health as well as physical, spiritual and cultural factors relevant to therapy. He treats the patient as the expert on themselves and believes in everyone’s inherent ability to grow and overcome their current challenges.
Ian is a lifelong learner who is curious about the human condition. He is also a recreational athlete and musician. He enjoys the arts, the natural world, and (hopelessly) the Cincinnati Reds.
